Discover the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State through a new looking glass – the Olympic Peninsula Waterfall Trail! Spring runoff creates a great time to get the full effect of the rushing water of these falls. If you are out and about during a frost or snow, you’ve found something really special!
The Waterfall Trail brochure is available. Call 360-452-8552 or 800-942-4042 or email us at info@OlympicPeninsula.org for a copy. You can also download your own copy by clicking the View the Map button below.
****Madison Falls Trail Closed for Repairs Beginning July 7. The one-tenth mile Madison Falls Trail and trailhead parking lot located in Elwha Valley will close to public entry for three weeks beginning on Monday, July 7 while crews make improvements and repairs.****
The Trail is diverse, and takes a wide variety of transportation modes, from paved, wheelchair accessible pathways, Forest Service roads, a Scenic Byway and forested trails. One waterfall is reached only from the river in a kayak or a raft, another is seen from a boat in saltwater. Still several others are in the back country of Olympic National Park and require a little more planning to reach. By the way: any help to keep the grounds free of litter is much appreciated. Our parks have limited resources, so any help we can give them will keep our Waterfall Trail enjoyable for all! THANKS.
